A monthly funding bulletin produced by Angus Council External Funding Team in collaboration with Angus Association of Voluntary Organisations
This item is in this month's (May 2007) edition of Angus Funding news. This was a popular and successful scheme last year. They received 431 bids with a value of £9 million. 259 applications were successful.
9 Angus groups received grants in 2006 totalling £70,000 and ranging from £1,000 to £20,000.
The Youth Work Facilities Improvement Fund is open to all youth work organisations which provide opportunities for young people (aged 12-25 years old) across Scotland.
Amount: While there is no actual ceiling on applications it is unlikely grants of more than £100k will be given unless the project is exceptionally innovative. Anyone considering applying for £50k plus should contact YouthLink Scotland for a pre submission discussion. There is no lower limit as we are aware that for some smaller groups a little money can make a huge difference.
Eligibility: Monies need to be spent and invoices submitted by 29 February 2008.

The scheme: YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES FUND is open to all properly constituted youth work organisations, local authorities, other relevant agencies and local groups. A great premium will be set on local joint networking working between voluntary and statutory sectors, with work with an equalities theme and work in deprived communities also taking precedence. They have £500,000 available for summer holiday youth work activities and will be seeking innovative programme proposals for the 12-25 age group.
Amount: The fund has a value of £2.5m
