Chamber Event details
Tuesday 28 March
Your future employees NEED you to attend this event...
Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce is working with partners in Dundee to run an Employability Conference at West Park on 28 March 2017.
This Dundee Partnership event is being held to update employers and other organisations in Dundee on the reshaping of the Dundee Employability Service, and to find out about employment, skills requirements and the future of businesses in Dundee.
9.15 Arrival, registrations, refreshments, exhibition
09.50 Welcome by David Martin, Chief Executive of Dundee City Council, followed by:
- Dundee’s Labour Market trends and challenges Phil Ford, Skills Development Scotland
- Dundee Employability Review – Making it Work for You Allan Millar, Dundee City Council
- Business Support – what’s available Alison Henderson, Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce
An interactive session will then take place, to gather feedback and information from employers and organisations in the city who employ or are looking to employ people, to identify areas where further support is required, and to understand what the future workforce and business needs will be.
Your involvement as a business in the city is very important - key to having the right workforce, and candidates with the right skills and attributes, is a dialogue between employers and the agencies that provide the support.
If we know what your current and future workforce needs are, then we can work hard to ensure that the candidates coming forward are very well placed to help you sustain and grow your business.
The event will finish with networking and lunch from 12 noon until 1pm.
Ahead of the event, we'd appreciate feedback from businesses about any positions you’ve recruited, any agencies that you’ve worked with, and your thoughts on the process.
Information from the survey will help shape the Conference and make sure that businesses get the relevant information and support that is needed when it comes to employing members of staff
The survey will take just a few moments to complete https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/2YRNKV9
