DACC Members enjoy success at Scottish Business Honours Awards

Scottish Chambers of Commerce yesterday (Thursday 11th September 2014) launched its inaugural Scottish Business Honours 2014 ceremony at the Prestonfield House, Edinburgh. Sponsored by Virgin Atlantic, the Scottish Business Honours are truly unique - it takes winning businesses from local Chambers of Commerce from all over Scotland and showcases the best of Scottish businesses at this nationwide ceremony.

 

Congratulations to Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce members who were shortlisted finalists for the Scottish Business awards: Hillcrest (Business of the Year over 25 employees and Growing Talent categories); Hermann Twickler, Managing Director of PressureFab (Entrepreneur of the Year category). Special congratulations to STAR-Dundee who were announced as winners of the Business of the Year (Under 25 employees).

 

Tim Allan, DACC President and Director of Unicorn Property Group attended the Awards last night and said:
“It was a great inaugural event with a fantastic atmosphere and Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce and their members had a very successful evening.  Of the 21 shortlisted finalists in the 7 award categories we had 5 nominations from Dundee & Angus Chamber and I am delighted to say we had a winner for the Business of the Year (Under 25 employees) category in STAR-Dundee. STAR Dundee Is one of Dundee’s great technology success stories and it was a huge pleasure to see that recognised nationally.

 

\"This was a wonderful evening celebrating the best in Scottish business and it was great to see Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce punching well above its weight.”

 

The evening was hosted by Kaye Adams and included Jim McColl OBE, Founder, Chairman & CEO of Clyde Blowers Capital as Keynote Speaker, concluding with Fred MacAulay for the Celebrations.
