Raising money for Roxburghe House

Published

1st July 2015

The staff of Roxburghe House have cared for many people in the last weeks and months of their lives. They carry out their duties professionally and with pride, giving their patients dignity in death and support to their relatives. Two women who were cared for, so brilliantly, by the staff were Jennifer Adams and Eileen Matthew. Jennifer fought breast cancer sucessfully but unfortunately, after a long illness, succumbed to metastatic ovarian cancer in May 2010. Eileen died in August 2014 after a short battle with metastatic neuroendocrine cancer. Both women worked in the same legal firm, Miller Hendry in Dundee, as well as being close friends.

The staff of Miller Hendry, as well as family members, are therefore walking Jock\'s Road in Glen Doll to raise money for Roxburghe House. The main team are walking the 13 miles (in rain, wind or shine) with a smaller group walking the Donault Walk, all with the hope of raising as much money as possible for the hospice who cared for their colleagues so well. Please be generous!
