Once again, they are bringing together some of the top experts from the low-carbon and investment sectors to recognise and award UK enterprises with commercially viable solutions that help the transition to a lower carbon economy. The Shell Springboard national winner will receive an equity free grant of £150,000, and a further five finalists will each receive £40,000 of no strings attached funding to help scale-up their businesses. Winners will also get support in marketing and access to exclusive Shell events and workshops designed to accelerate their business development journey.

Deciwatt’s GravityLight (2015 winner) – technology to generate light from gravity, providing a safe alternative to kerosene lamps for off-grid communities.
