Options for Work Project

In November 2005, Options Angus launched the Options for Work DVD.  Divided into five sections the DVD shows people in various work roles and is designed to meet the needs of 14-16 year old students as they approach the transition from school into the world of work. 

The DVD is designed to be used in teacher-led sessions and a full set of guidance notes and worksheets accompany the DVD.

SBC Angus was instrumental in brokering the involvement of over 20 local businesses and organisations in the making of this educational product.  For their part the businesses involved not only convey what ‘work’ is all about, but also promote Angus as a place of opportunity.

The DVD has been produced by Angus Digital Media Centre for Enable Scotland through Options Angus and has been well received, not only from those who teach youngsters with learning difficulties but also from those involved with mainstream work.
