Youth Groups Project

As a consequence of the Seeing is Believing event joint meetings between Angus College and youth groups in Forfar, Brechin and Montrose took place in order to explore and agree areas where partnership working can be introduced for mutual benefit.

At the request of the youth groups SBC Angus facilitated an ‘Awareness and Dialogue’ session at the College on 1st December 2005.  As well as representatives from the youth groups members from The Café and Oasis in Arbroath also attended.  This was a productive meeting which has since resulted in a partnership agreement being signed between Angus College and MYCP (Montrose Youth and Community Project).

In addition agreement was reached which has since seen the formation of an Angus Youth Groups Network.  The remit of which is to share knowledge and best practice.   SBC Angus acts as the co-ordinator for this group.
