International Trade & Finance Executive

A vital service for local businesses is the Chamber’s International Documentation and Certification service which currently supports circa 80 exporting companies. The Chamber’s partnership role in promoting and growing International Trade; supporting SME’S entering exporting for first time; and/or expansion of exporting into new countries/opportunities alongside further developing our International Chamber to Chamber connections is a key aim for the Chamber and will be part of the deliverables of this role.
Taking responsibility for the Chamber’s Export Documentation and Certification Service, managing the relationships with existing and new export customers, and organising a programme of events and training to support this delivery, will be an essential part of the role. Full training on export documentation services will be an early part of the induction process. On-the-job training and other personal development will be actively encouraged to support any up-skilling required. In addition this role will cover general finance administration duties to support the Treasurer, CEO and wider team.
This role is high profile within the business community and you will be expected to represent the Chamber brand in a positive, engaging, energetic and above all professional manner while working with the team on wider Chamber activities.
Candidates will have an interest in International Trade and Business, along with initiative, energy and enthusiasm as well as highly developed organisational, interpersonal, communication and customer care skills. Having strong networking & presentation capabilities, a solution orientated approach, a keen desire to learn and desire to build this role further will be an advantage. Driving licence and own car are desirable.
