In Chamber Shoes - The Chamber Teams

Here's a little snap shot from each of our teams from the last full week of the year. We hope your teams have had a successful year and wish you all the best for 2023!

Monday: Love Dundee Local

Dundee Loves Local has seen a tremendous success with the local businesses in Dundee over the past year. We now have over 200 businesses signed up with us along with national brands such as McDonalds, Boots and Primark. Over 284 customers had purchased the gift cards over the year with many businesses purchasing it for their employees either to help with the rising cost of living or as a Christmas bonus to show their appreciation.

Dundee Loves Local really look forward to expanding their awareness both digitally and in the high street to encourage customers to shop local and support their local businesses and entrepreneurs. Dundee Loves Local gives back to the community in various ways by engaging with local council initiatives and community engagement projects. Merry Christmas to Every one From Dundee Loves Local and see you in 2023

Tuesday: International

This week sees the tailing off of what we call the “Tattie Season” but it hasn’t eased off for the International department – they are working hard for lots of members getting all sorts of items in and out of the Country. From tatties going to Egypt to goods coming in from Dubai – they really have been all over the world. Next year looks to be just as diverse with a new online training course getting put together to help all our customers – watch this space.

Wednesday: Membership

With 2022 drawing to a close, it is all about planning ahead.  This week the leadership team headed out for lunch to discuss all things strategy (and nothing else we promise!), so the Membership team have been busy scheming ;).  We have been looking at how to increase the engagement and value of our current members, as well as how to speak to other organisations in the community to ensure they know how the Chamber can help them.

The team, like most people, have been making sure everything is tied up got the year so we can focus on putting the best foot forward for 2023!

Thursday: Office

The office team have been working hard all year helping support team members and keeping the office space functioning but this week we have our staff Christmas Party. We are holding it in our lovely premises down at City Quay. We have a social committee that help put together a get together every month and this year has seen us do many things from painting, to barbeque-ing to gaming and everything in between we hope we have had something for everyone. Our premises are great for all sorts of events – please take a look and book out a space for your next team activity.

Friday: Marketing

What a Friday – who could have predicted that the snow would come and make us change our Christmas plans. We didn’t quite do all we wanted to do but managed most of our Party things and were able to leave early to avoid any delay in getting safely home. I look forward to the year ahead as the Chamber's new Marketing Manager and cannot wait for our members to see the surprises we have in store!
