Space Planning – “Creating Amazing Spaces”
Monday mornings start with a run, this helps me clear my head and get ready for the day and week ahead. I enjoy running, it is the only time where I feel I can process my thoughts with no distractions, it helps me sort the good ideas from the bad ideas, it’s also the only chance I get to listen to an audio book!
From my run its straight back home to help my wife get the kids ready for school. Our house is pretty busy with a 15yr old, an 8yr old and a 7-month-old! As my wife is on maternity leave, we’ve developed a habit of a Monday morning walk after the school run whenever I can, we live near Bridgefoot so normally walk round this way and past Strathmartine Hospital and back round to our house, today is no exception.
I have an appointment with an existing client today so its off to Falkirk to discuss their requirements. Today’s visit will entail space planning the current canteen and measuring up the area. Their current canteen does not use the space effectively with their current furniture and is in dire need of rejuvenation. On the back of this visit we will produce visualisations and a new proposed layout with new furniture and decoration.
On the drive home, the sun is shining, and the lambs are in the field, it feels like we are getting back to some normality.
