In Your Shoes - Ainslie Dobson

Ainslie Dobson....intro goes here

Monday

Started off with a busy Monday morning dealing with enquiries on the phone and socials. Some folk wanted cleans done on the same day but it’s not often possible for us due to the diaries already being fully booked. I had my 3 operatives out working, covering mostly Dundee. One of our big jobs today was the maintenance cleaning of office chairs at Thorntons Solictiors, one of our cherished clients

Tuesday

Started with a bang!! We received a phone call from a massive hotel chain accepting our previous quote for maintenance cleaning through some of their sites… this starts in September and will be a great addition to help with any quite times we might encounter… The rest of the day went well, happy customers, great feedback and no hitches

Wednesday

One of our operatives was off to Edinburgh to provide a bi-annual deep clean of the communal carpets for one of our Hotel clients… The other guys were in and around Dundee cleaning carpets, hard-flooring and upholstery. We also got the opportunity to quote for cleaning office carpets from a big firm in Aberdeen.

Thursday

I was up in Aberdeen quoting for the office carpet clean. They were all carpet tiles which need a different type of clean. Explained all this to the customer for which he acknowledged. Hopefully we will get the go ahead with this one. We received a call from a customer that had her carpet cleaned on the Monday. She was concerned it was still slightly damp. I’d popped around to have a look. Unfortunately it was a pretty tight, closed off area with next to no ventilation. We did explain this would affect drying times… I decided to leave a fan with customer overnight to help.

Friday

Collected fan from customer 1st thing, glad to see the carpet was now dry. Advised for next time to try and get as much ventilation into the room as she could as this will help to stop any re-occurring drying issue. We then, as a team had a wee trip up to Dunkeld house hotel to start a clean of the communal carpets. Such a beautiful hotel with amazing scenery!!! We are up in ballater the following week to do the same for the sister company, The Balmoral Arms. Was a great week
