In Your Shoes - Amanda Inglis

Monday - kick-starting the week!

Mondays start with coffee ! Followed shortly by our 10 a.m. team call, a great way to keep everyone informed about business operations and ensure we're all engaged with the bigger picture. We review our pipeline of new opportunities, update progress on our 90-day plan, and dig into each team's projects for the week ahead using Asana—our project management tool, which holds everything together!  In the afternoon, I have 1-to-1 sessions with the team, checking in on personal development and ensuring everyone is supported in their roles.

Tuesday - Getting some steps in!

Working from home today, one of my favourite aspects of the business is the flexibility it offers. I love being able to walk my kids to school every day. Although we operate as a remote team, it feels more like a hybrid role since we're often on-site with clients and colleagues. Today though was all about accounts and working on the business. As we’ve grown, I’ve realised how important it is to prioritise the bigger picture while still managing day-to-day operations.

Wednesday - Client Feedback

I stopped by Roos Leap and Kontiki in Montrose to catch up with our clients. They recently signed on for a content creation package with us, working closely with Zoe and Hannah to broaden their reach. One common challenge people face with social media is feeling like it’s a chore. They worry about creativity and the risk of damaging their brand. That’s where we come in—helping them create content each quarter that they can use throughout the month to tell their story effectively.

Thursday - Future plans with clients

I had a catch-up with our long-term, award-winning client, Fotheringham Homes. I’ve been working with Michael and his team for seven years now—I even brought my daughter to our first workshop in a baby car seat! It was great to hear their feedback on our marketing support and learn about their future plans. Their new site at Gourdon is progressing well, with 10 more homes expected to be handed over before Christmas. It's exciting to explore new marketing tactics to attract prospective homebuyers as Due North continues to evolve alongside them.

Friday - a rewarding end to the week!

I took a trip up to Aberdeen to meet with a potential new client. It was an exciting meeting where we discussed their short- and long-term goals, identified the challenges in their current marketing strategy, and developed a fresh action plan. This includes a new website and ongoing marketing support. A successful morning led to a rewarding working lunch at The Chester Hotel, where I caught up with Hannah on client accounts.
