Monday

Always thinking about growth and having the best systems and structure in place to achieve this, we do practice what we preach. Which is why we use Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to measure our success and drive our plans forward. As part of this, we kick-start each week with our Level 10 meeting this provides an efficient way to understand all aspects of our business and identify any areas needing attention – it makes for a great start to the week!

With the main meeting done and necessary actions accounted for, we were then onto on-boarding three new clients. We always like to set up a proprietary call, to ensure we’ve fully understood our clients’ needs, prior to starting our Airgonomics™ Approach.

Tuesday

Following from our calls on Monday, we spent most of Tuesday organising our time for the coming weeks and pulling together paperwork for each of the projects. With our unique approach of Audit, Edit, Execute, we’re currently setting up for our new clients to start their journey through our Audit. This is always a vibrant time, when we get to take a deep dive with our clients to understand their business better, where any pain points exist and most excitingly, where the opportunities lie!

Once we had our plans in place, we then turned our attention to a board submission. An integral part of our business, is providing 20% of our time voluntarily to local charities. This could be through a host of methods, from taking them through our Mini Audit, to giving more general advice. In this instance, we saw an opportunity to help in a more long-term manner, so cracked on with submitting our application.

Wednesday

As anyone who follows DACC social media channels will know, we love to get out and about and today was no different. We attended a great session ‘Unlocking Insights with SYT Coaching’. Steve Thomson, who we’ve been fortunate to talk with at a few events, hosted an interactive, fun and interesting hour. I’d be confident to say everyone there took something away from it!

Whilst Katy was at DACC, Chris completed the last part of his LinkedIn training with Alan Martin from Chat Marketing. As a business objective, we have built into our week a minimum of two hours per person for professional training.

To round off the day, we both headed along to Discovery Point Dundee, to listen to Chris Brookmyre discuss his newest (and best!) book to date – The Cracked Mirror. It was an excellent evening, with plenty of laughs.

Thursday

Thursday morning, we were up and out early heading up to see Cat at Elevator Dundee. This was the first time we’d been at their premises and indeed meeting Cat, and we can confidently say we left with a spring in our step. It was great to understand more about the wealth of local projects, innovation and ideas and reminded us how lucky we are to be living in Dundee through such a vibrant time.

Once back at HQ, we had one of our new clients in for their first Mini Audit. Working through a tailored bank of questions we were able to really understand where their business currently is and, more importantly, where it will be! We’re particularly excited about delivering their strategy to them next week.

It’s not all work at Airgonomics™ though… and Halloween evening called for a beautifully Autumnal massage at Evermore in Broughty Ferry.

Friday

Racing through to the weekend, we started the day talking through a new project with one of our Trusted Partners to agree approach and timelines. Before heading back through to Broughty Ferry for a coffee and catch-up with local small business Tot Stars – always a great time hearing their ideas and future plans!

The afternoon was back to the office to ensure all the ‘I’s’ were dotted for the week and we had clear plans in place for the following week. Being able to start the weekend knowing you’re already one step ahead, always makes for a better time.
