Monday

Mondays always start with people. I kick off the week by checking in with clients, reviewing any urgent HR queries, and setting the week’s priorities. Much of my role involves supporting small businesses with compliance and HR strategy — but equally, it’s about being a sounding board for leaders. Mondays also include reviewing upcoming training sessions, making sure everything is tailored and impactful. By lunchtime, I’m already deep into case work, policy reviews, or prepping for meetings that set the tone for the week.

Tuesday

Tuesday's tend to be training days. I deliver online sessions on topics such as disability awareness, inclusion, and employment law updates. No two groups are ever the same, and that’s what I love — sparking conversations that make HR more human and less “tick-box.” In the afternoon, I catch up on community projects, like Diversity Bridge SCIO, which keeps me grounded in why inclusion work matters beyond the office.

Wednesday

Wednesday's are dedicated to community and cultural leadership. Through Diversity Bridge SCIO, I work with partners to build stronger intercultural understanding and break down barriers for underrepresented groups. With the Igbo Cultural Association SCIO, I help preserve heritage while supporting younger generations to connect with their identity. This balance between heritage and inclusion is important to me — it’s about giving back, creating opportunities, and ensuring no one is left out of the conversation. By evening, I feel enriched, knowing that my work impacts not only businesses but also the wider community.

Thursday

Thursdays are my “connector” days. I spend time networking, attending Chamber events, and building relationships. It’s energising to swap ideas with other business leaders in Dundee and Angus, learning from their journeys while sharing mine. Afternoons are usually spent writing — from HR policies to thought-leadership pieces. I also make space to reflect on upcoming workshops and look at what’s next for HR Hub Plus Limited.

Friday

Friday's are all about finishing strong. I wrap up client cases, send off reports, and ensure businesses are set up to start the next week confidently. Friday's are also where I make time for innovation — testing new ways to deliver HR training, like online modules or interactive sessions. Before logging off, I look back on the week’s highlights and, more importantly, check in with myself: did I help people feel more supported at work? If yes, then it’s been a good week.
