Monday

I kicked things off by printing my daily task sheets before diving into a power hour of focused work — reaching out to people about the Travel Business and showing them how they can save and earn on their own holidays.

Sam was busy too, working on quotes for a New York city break — skyscrapers, Broadway shows, and all the buzz of Times Square. It’s always great seeing the excitement when people realise these trips can be more affordable than they first thought.

Later in the day I met Katrina, a massage therapist, to talk about linking up, and also had a one-to-one with Nicola who shared more about her Herbal Life business.

We also carved out time to work on social media content creation — recording clips and drafting posts that help show the reality of building a travel business around family life. At 8pm we hosted our regular online Travel Business information call — one of my favourite parts of the day.

Tuesday

The morning was spent on client work before heading to the Chamber lunch — a brilliant event. As a Chamber Champion, I loved meeting new people and talking about how travel fits alongside so many different industries.

Meanwhile, Sam was creating dream itineraries for Thailand getaways — beach escapes and cultural adventures. She loves putting together options that balance relaxation with a touch of exploration.

Evenings are always busy in our house with Eddison’s football and kickboxing. I usually bring the laptop along to catch up on emails and support the team with travel tasks while cheering him on. Later that night, we went live on Instagram to share some of the latest holiday deals and answer questions about how the business works — it’s such a great way to connect with people in real time.

Wednesday

The day started very early — I was out the door by 4.50am to head to BNI. These mornings are always worth it, though, as the networking and training keep me sharp and connected with other local business owners.

Midday, we had a team meeting with some of the top leaders in the UK Travel Business, which was both inspiring and motivating. Being able to learn from those who are leading the way in the industry helps us grow and keeps our vision sharp.

Back at the desk, Sam was working on a very special trip — a safari holiday. These kinds of quotes always spark excitement; nothing compares to helping someone plan the adventure of a lifetime.

We also slotted in some content creation for our reels and stories — quick tips and behind-the-scenes clips that show the blend of travel, property, and family life.

Thursday

Property took the spotlight first thing, with Mike from BNI carrying out PAT testing at one of our flats. Sam headed up to let him in while I caught up with travel business calls.

During the day, much of my focus went on preparing for our first big event on 30th October, when Katie Dove flies up from London to host it. It’s going to be an amazing evening for people to come along and find out more about the Travel Business.

Sam spent the afternoon deep into quotes for ski trips — everything from family-friendly resorts to adventurous slopes for seasoned skiers.

The evening was busy too — Eddison had kickboxing training, so I grabbed the chance to multitask: cheering him on while catching up on messages and supporting the travel team. Later at 8.30pm, we hosted our information call for those curious about joining the business. It’s always energising to see new faces take an interest in travel.

Friday

Fridays are very much team support days. We ran training sessions for our new reps, making sure they feel confident with the systems and know how to get the best out of the business.

Sam rounded off her week working on quotes for golfing holidays — combining luxury resorts with top-class courses. Meanwhile, I had a presentation with a prospective partner who was keen to learn more about joining the Travel Business. These conversations are always exciting — showing people the bigger picture and the possibilities travel can bring.

We also dedicated some time to social media planning for the week ahead, making sure our Instagram and TikTok are filled with engaging content — from travel hacks to business insights. The week ended on a high, with plenty of momentum carrying us into the weekend and beyond.
