New for 2019! Our Connect 4 series will hear from 4 specialists on topics covering Marketing, Finance, Social Media and PR. We kick start the year with Marketing & Digital Comms.


Starting at 4.30pm with registration and networking over refreshments attendees with then split into smaller groups and get the chance to hear from 4 specialists who will teach us all there is to know about Marketing and Digital Communications. From creating and implementing a Marketing Strategy to Designing your Brand and Building your Story.   Attendees will hear from all 4 specialists and questions are encouraged!!

Our 4 specialists

Craig Simpson, Managing Director at Jigsaw Media

Craig has 20 years of marketing experience working in senior roles with the likes Sky, DC Thomson and Bauer Media prior to setting up Jigsaw Media in 2015. Jigsaw are a full service marketing agency covering all elements of the marketing spectrum from brand development, web design through to developing and implementing marketing strategies across traditional and digital channels. Craig will be talking about the basics of developing a clear marketing strategy from understanding your business objectives, who your target audience is and what channels to choose and why.

Kevin Anderson, Founder, The Story Edge

Kev Anderson is a storyteller and teacher of storytelling. He's the founder of The Story Edge a marketing consultancy that helps organisations communicate with story.

In early 2015 he launched his business and ever since, he’s been on a mission to simplify the World of marketing for organisations large and small. He delivers a mix of teaching, consulting and coaching around his Story Stack Model. And, as the name of his company suggests – storytelling has a major part to play in his communication philosophy.

Kev’s love of story goes beyond ‘work’, as, in his spare time he writes short stories, essays and one day hopes to turn his novel idea into an actual book.

James Williamson, Managing Director, Moovi

Having spent 15 years freelancing and working with some of the top agencies in Scotland and England James set up Moovii in Dundee two years ago.

Moovii are specialists in video production, animation production and video strategy. It’s all very well producing videos and animations that look good but Moovii offer a fully integrated service to ensure the clients are getting clear ROI and building successful video campaigns.

James will be discussing the importance of having a clear plan and strategy in place if you are investing in video and animation and how this plan will help determine the best distribution methods for your video and gain the best results. He will also look at the various formats you should consider including mobile, desktop, across social media, TV or on your website.

Barry Strachan, Creative Director, Avian

Barry is Creative Director at Avian, a creative agency specialising in Brand Development, Graphic Design, Exhibition/Environmental installations and Video/Animation. Avian work with clients worldwide, nationally and locally to create exciting creative solutions that work for your brand. A proud graduate of DJCAD with over 15 years experience, Barry has worked on brand development, strategy and marketing for clients such as Walkers Shortbread, Rangers FC, The Forth Bridges, Blackadders Solicitors and DC Thomson.

Barry’s core expertise lies in the creation of strong graphic identities and the implementation of long-term strategies to build meaningful brands. He will be discussing the power that branding has to elevate your business touching upon subjects such as; the importance of promoting a consistent brand, the pros and cons of ‘evolution vs revolution’ and why a brand is more than just a logo.
