Starting at 9.30am we'll have a short welcome from the Chamber prior to hearing from our sponsor. We'll them split into breakout rooms on Zoom where each group will hear from our 4 experts who will teach us more about PR & Comms. Attendees will hear from all 4 specialists and questions are encouraged!!

Tricia Fox, CEO, Volpa

Tricia Fox founded Volpa, now one of Scotland’s top independent marketing and PR agencies, from the spare bedroom of her home in 2002 at just 26. A former management consultant, Tricia’s ambition was evident from the start of her foray into the PR and marketing profession. She was one of the youngest people ever in the UK to achieve Chartered Marketer status and was chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in Scotland by the time she was 26. A consummate serial entrepreneur, she first sprung into the limelight with the rapid growth of the membership organisation Bacon Eggs & Entrepreneurs, extending the reach of the network for start up entrepreneurs nationally before returning to agency life in 2008 to develop Volpa.

Tricia has an MSc in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, an MA (Hons) in English Literature from Aberdeen University, in addition to a Postgraduate Certificate in Research Methodology from the University of Bradford. Committed to staying at the top of her game and always pushing her own boundaries, Tricia is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and achieved Chartered PR Practitioner status with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in 2020. In 2018 she participated in the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses scale up course, aimed at supporting and developing high growth businesses in the UK.

Graham Steven, Corporate Partnerships Manager, STV Children’s Appeal

Graham has over 17 years’ experience working in a variety of marketing, PR and fundraising roles across the construction, automotive and banking sectors before a move into the third sector. For the last eight years, Graham has worked with companies of all shapes and sizes from sole traders to multinationals to develop fundraising partnerships that raise money for charity whilst benefiting the business through positive PR and higher staff morale and team cohesiveness.

Gayle Culross, Communications Officer, Angus Council

I have over 24 years of experience in communications, marketing and sales in a number of sectors including oil and gas, textiles, health clubs, hotels, software and the public sector. I have worked with a diverse range of brands such as Mercedes, Barbour, Apex Hotels and Taqa.

My current role is Communications Officer for Angus Council dealing with internal communications.

My specialties include PR, communications, marketing, writing for the web, social media marketing, sales management, media relations, strategy, damage limitation.

Polly Bartlett, News Journalist, STV

Polly Bartlett is a news reporter at STV News, with a special focus in community, culture and entertainment stories. She works across the STV News at Six and the STV News website, app and social media pages. Polly has been with STV for two years having previously worked at ITV in London as a producer for Lorraine and This Morning. She has over five years experience in broadcast journalism across both news and magazine programming and has covered everything from fashion, beauty and technology to features and hard news in her time as a journalist. She is a voting member of BAFTA Scotland.
