Chamber Event details
Tuesday 12 March
Join us as we delve into the world of Cyber Security, learn how it impacts not just the business but the individual and what steps can be taken to avoid getting caught out.
According to the Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2018 two in five businesses (43%) have identified breaches in the last 12 months, of this 22% had a temporary loss of files, 15% had software or systems corrupted, 10% had their website slowed or take down, 7% had money, assets or intillectual property stolen and 6% had a permanent loss of files or personal data. Yet, only 67% of businesses spend money on cyber security.
What are you doing to protect you and your business?
During the morning we'll be hearing from guest speakers Professor Karen Renaud, from the Devision of Cyber Security at Abertay University and Mikey Jack from The Scottish Business Resilience Centre. Afterwards attendees will have the chance to ask a panel of experts their burning questions.
