Doing Business in China

Organiser: Tay Cities International Trade and Investment Partnership

On 27th August, DACC will host the event 'Doing Business in China' which is being delivered by the Tay Cities International Partnership Group. This event will include 3 different workshops aimed at different sectors and will include an opportunity for 1-2-1's with our guest Speakers as well as a Networking Lunch. 

Morning Sessions: 

These sessions will run simutaneously therefore please select which one you would like to attend and book your place. 

1) Workshop for Food & Beverage Companies - 10am to 12.30pm

This workshop will provide a step-by-step guide to Food and Beverage companies’ export journey to China. Guest speakers are Huishan Chapman (China Market Specialist, SDI) and F&D Specialists from CCIC London, it will cover topics such as how to register as an exporter, labelling & packaging, organic certification process and cross-cultural communication.

2) Workshop for Tech Companies - 10am to 12.30pm

Alibaba Cloud  will host a workshop aimed at Tech companies to talk about regulations/market entry strategies amd opportunities in the China market. Being one of the biggest players in the world, Alibaba Cloud provides a very comprehensive eco system for tech companies.

Alibaba cloud’s session will be delivered by Louis Demerliac, Business Development Manager at Alibaba cloud, and will cover the following topics:
o West to East - Unlocking the technology market opportunity in China
o Sub topic 1: Market trends in BtoB and BtoC technology
o Sub topic 2: Challenges and barriers to entry and what to do next

Networking lunch: 12:30-13:30

Attendees of the morning sessions will be welcome to stay for a networking lunch. You may also wish to stay for the afternoon workshop. 

There will also be an opportunity for 1-2-1 sessions with our guest speakers.
