This short course is designed for women who have a keen interest in Business and who want to learn more about the processes that are involved in starting a business of their own.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to start your own business or to be your own boss? If you who have a keen interest in business and who want to learn more about what’s involved in starting a business then this course is not to be missed!
We will look at your business idea and help you decide if there is a market and a need. After completing the course, you will be clearer about what your business vision is and what you will need to get started. Also, you will be introduced to a local and national business support network that will take you on to the next stages.
Tuesday 16th April 9.30 to 12.30 | Exploring My Business Potential Designed to help you think about your business potential and encourage you to identify the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to further your vision. |
Thursday 18th April 9.30 to 12.30 | Identifying My Business Vision You will identify and explore factors, people and organisations that may support and contribute towards your business vision whilst also addressing barriers and constraints that may prevent you from achieving this vision. |
Tuesday 23rd April 9.30 to 12.30 | Starting a New Small Business This session provides you with an overview of the basic building blocks that should be in place before starting your business. It focuses on your Vision, Goals and Need. |
Thursday 25th April 9.30 to 12.30 | Starting a New Small Business Continued This session will focus on your products, service and suppliers. You will identify who your customers are and who your competition is! You will think about where to locate your business and what start-up money is available. We will discuss other areas that you will need to consider such as legal requirements. |
