Chamber Event details
Thursday 30 November
Modern businesses should be agile, aware of their customers, keen to collaborate across borders and trade globally. Exchanging ideas with other cities about how they have overcome business challenges, innovated and used creative thinking to build sustainable and strong businesses, will give real and lasting benefits.
We believe that a strong business community is essential to the economic prosperity of Dundee & Angus. We lead the connections & experiences to build businesses by promoting the private sector, enabling businesses to attract and retain talented people and ensure that our region is seen as an innovative and ambitious place to prosper.
Our inaugural dinner will showcase the international collaborations between Dundee, Scotland and the rest of the world, connecting like-minded businesses to bolster trading relationships and better equip businesses to address global markets.
Fredrik Haggblom, CEO at Agenda Retail, a European company, founded in 2005, who work with National and International companies to create a common understanding of what the reality is, the opportunities and challenges it is facing, and of what needs to be done. Having worked with renowned brands such as Apple, Electrolux & Gore to address the challenges these companies face to be successful in a highly competitive market place, Frederik will inspire others to think about their challenges and how to address them.
Tim Allan FRSA, serves as the President of Scottish Chambers of Commerce. Tim is a private equity and property entrepreneur with many outside philanthropic interests. He is CEO of Unicorn Property Group, deeply involved in the regeneration of Dundee’s waterfront, among other Scottish and UK property investments. Tim is a Member of Court at the University of St Andrews and also a Vice Chair of the V&A Museum of Design Campaign.
