Robin would like to invite you to enjoy the art work which illustrates his children’s book, 'Great Potato Contest'. Come along to Robin’s exhibition opening and find out about ‘Lachlan McLachlan’ entering the 'Great Potato Contest' of Arbroath. The opening event takes place Saturday 27 April 1-3pm at the Brothock Gallery in Arbroath Library, it is a free event and everyone is welcome.

Robin wrote ‘The Great Potato Contest’ for his first Grandson and collaborated with Vincent Langaard and Elettra Arnell to create warm and light-hearted illustrations which will be on display.

Robin McLeod was born and raised in Arbroath in 1944, left Scotland in 1974 and eventually settled in Portland, Oregon. Robin returns to Scotland at least once a year to visit his friends and family.

After the birth of his first Grandson, Reid Lachlan McClung, Robin was inspired to write ‘The Great Potato Contest’ and weave his Scottish heritage into the story.

Robin hopes visitors will be inspired to take more interest in farming and to contemplate the great changes that can take place in only a few decades. He also hopes that, his Grandson Reid will appreciate his Scottish connections.
