About The Nest

Director Katherine Milazzo explains that The Nest is all about helping females through pregnancy and early parenting in a welcoming and non-judgemental way. The attractive space provides support to pregnant women, babies and families through a wide range of therapies, workshops, drop-ins and classes.

Katherine previously worked for the NHS as a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, therefore has a wealth of experience in different specialities. She is passionate about helping individuals maintain a positive well-being, and likes to demonstrate that a combination of both professional and peer support can combat pre or post-natal mental health problems. All of her work experience coupled with the positive experience she had at the ‘Pregnancy and Parents Centre’ near Edinburgh with her two older children lead to the establishment of The Nest.
