The Bank will provide patient (long term) capital to businesses and projects throughout Scotland to support the development of a fairer, more sustainable economy.
The Bank has an ambition to not only invest its allocated public capital, but to encourage additional private capital to invest alongside it, to support the delivery of the missions.
At this information session we'll be joined by David Ritchie, Executive Director, Partnerships and Engagement at the Scottish National Investment Bank who will be giving a presentation covering the banks establishment, its missions and activities and their approach to investment, how they are continuing to build their pipeline, infrastructure, capacity and capability.
David joined the Scottish National Investment Bank programme team in February 2019. He moved permanently to the Bank in November 2020, to take up the post of Executive Director for Partnerships and Engagement with responsibility for the Bank’s policy and insights, marketing and communications, and state aid functions. Prior to joining the Bank, David was a Deputy Director in the Scottish Government, were he held a variety of positions including Head of Macroeconomics, Head of Policy in the SG Strategy Unit, and most recently, the Head of the Energy Industries Division.
