Who are MVV Environment Baldovie?

MVV Environment Baldovie (MEB) is a subsidiary of MVV Environment UK who’s headquartered in Mannheim, Germany. We are an Energy from Waste (EfW) company generating partly renewable electricity and/or usable heat from non-recyclable waste that would otherwise go to landfill in the UK, or to other countries as ‘Refuse Derived Fuel.’ Like any power plant, we use the heat from the burning waste to boil water and generate steam which turns a turbine to drive a generator. Efficiencies can be increased if some of the steam can be used for heating, for example for industrial processes such as cooking food or heating spaces for example for tenants at the Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP).

The Baldovie EFW CHP facility receives over 370 lorries delivering waste every week which is then burnt at temperatures of more than 1000 degrees centigrade to generate useful energy in the form of electricity and steam.

In order to keep our attendees, venue staff and Chamber staff safe we have introduced a ‘What to expect at a Chamber event’ document which you will find attached, please read through this prior to registering.

Attendees will need to complete and submit a safety information and acceptance form from MVV prior to arrival and all participants need to wear full length sleeves and trousers as well as sturdy footwear (no heels or open toes).
