International Trade is ever changing. Where once no special export documents were needed when trading with the EU, now all traders are responsible for ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to meet customs formalities and regulations.

The Customs procedure indicates why the goods are being cleared for import or export such as Free circulation or Customs Warehousing. The Customs procedure is part of the 4 areas of Customs management and is mandatory at the time of Customs clearance along with Classification, Valuation and Origin. It is the responsibility of exporters and importers to declare their selected Customs procedure at the time of the clearance. The importer and exporter must meet the specific obligations of each procedure. Some customs procedure also deliver some substantial financial benefits.
