Guest Speakers

Alistair Kerr - Creative Mongrel

Meet Alistair Kerr - the branding guy who believes people talk too much about branding (but loves to talk about the difference it makes to a small business that gets it right). After 25 years as an architect, he worked as a professional photographer before setting up Creative Mongrel, where he helps consultants and coaches to untangle and supercharge their message, builds them big-hitting little websites, and makes sure they get seen, heard and booked.
If you like a good story, ask him about his grandfather. In the meantime, get ready to hear something that could change the way you approach your small business branding.

Simon Allison & Jack Boyle - Blackadders

Simon and Jack are employment lawyers who form part of the Blackadders’ award-winning employment team. They are prevalent on social media, with a particular interest in Twitter. They have thousands of followers each and are regularly called upon to provide training on social media and many other topics to various organisations and employers.   Simon and Jack will cover the following in their session:-

Legal implications arising from social media.
What claims can arise from social media?
Are employers liable for employee misuse?
Is it wise to have a social media policy
What use of social media is permitted during working time?
Does the policy distinguish between inappropriate and unauthorised use?
What defences are available to employers in relation to social media breaches?

Stacy Edghill - LinkedWin

Stacy has a background in sales. Starting out as a travel agent, then working in advertising and business development for recruitment agencies in the oil and gas sector has given her an all-round knowledge of sales strategies and relationship building.

Throughout her career she has leveraged many tools to assist but none more so that LinkedIn in which she took an extra interest in and in finding results managed to build such a loyal and dedicated following, with business results, that she has now turned that into a business.

Offering individuals and businesses a variety of LinkedIn training courses, all designed to help them raise their profile, be more visible, win business and make more money, is a real passion for her and her mission is to help people succeed by using the platform.
