In May 2022 we launched our second Chamber Business Champion Awards calling on members to nominate themselves in four categories. The awards were to highlight businesses who are championing the area in Net Zero, Future Workplace, Digital Innovation and Future Skills.

Having had a challenging 2 years we're proud to showcase these businesses and tell their story to others across Dundee & Angus. Over 30 businesses put themselves forward for the awards and the judging panels had a difficult decision on their hands! Sadly, as with all awards, we couldn't make everyone a winner but we were delighted with the calibre of nominations, a true sentiment to the hard work, determination and supportive business community we work in.

Join us as we announce the winners of the awards, and crown one business the overall Chamber Business Champion of 2022

Speaker - Hannah Ovens, NCR

Hannah Ovens has been passionate about business since she was a child. While growing up in the Scottish Highlands, Hannah was surrounded by family who had built their own successful businesses, so she understood the motivation, enthusiasm and commitment required to be a business leader.

The success of her parents’ businesses inspired Hannah to study Business at Dundee College and then for a degree in Business at Abertay University.  Following her studies, Hannah has been carving out her own successful career firstly at Alliance Trust Savings and more recently at NCR Corporation, in the banking industry of the Financial Technology company.

As Regional Product Manager at NCR, Hannah has been responsible for the Caribbean and also travelled to Latin America.   More recently, she was promoted with similar responsibilities for North America and Canada.  In May, Hannah won a company-wide competition to be NCR CEO for the day, beating 38,000 candidates to the prize. This experience has inspired Hannah for the next and future steps in her career as a business CEO.
