Alison Henderson, Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce

Alison is CEO of Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce. She is passionate about business & the local community and works with partners on many projects to ensure that business voice is heard and represented.

Alison is proud to have won the Living Wage Scotland Voice of the Year Award in 2019, and the Chamber won the Living Wage Scotland Local Champion Award in 2022.

Fiona McLellan, Business Gateway Tayside

Fiona is Contracts Manager for Business Gateway, Tayside. She has years of experience in running businesses mainly in the logistics sector.

She has sent goods all over the world from priceless books to North Pole survival gear.

Fiona is passionate about SMEs and helping them to grow and loves working with a terrific professional team who supports businesses of all sizes across Tayside.

Kim Cameron, Gin Bothy

Kim is founder of the multi award winning Bothy trading company, home to a portfolio of food and spirit brands and their visitor experience in Glamis, Angus. Starting her business journey by winning a world jampionship ten years ago Kim and her fully female team create a range of jam, butter, gin, rum and whisky which they export to a number of countries. Kim is passionate about preserving local culture and tradition and passionately promotes Scotland in her rural leadership role and at export events worldwide.

Her mantra is “Short term nightmare long term gain”.

John Reid, General Manager Manufacturing, UK and Europe, Wilkie

With a career spanning thirty-five years in the manufacturing sector, John joined Wilkie as the General Manager in Sept. 2022 and is leading a team to deliver the next phase of the company’s aggressive growth plan and transforming its operations into a world class, world leading textile company.

John joined the Michelin Tyre Company in 1988, becoming GM in 2010 and overseeing a major transformation of the company’s Dundee site. In 2019, he successfully led the creation of the Michelin-Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP) in Dundee as CEO.

John was appointed Chief Executive Officer of NMIS, The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland in August 2020. During this time, he also served as a director of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult.

Stewart Dee, Department for Business & Trade (DBT)

After 17 years as a career diplomat, Stewart worked in marketing communications, including with the National Apprenticeship Service where he worked closely with businesses, before moving to UK Trade & Investment, where he has worked since, helping businesses to export in various roles through the Department for International Trade and now DBT. He is passionate about public service and helping individuals and businesses to grow.

Carl Gardiner MA (Econ) MBA, Scottish Enterprise

Carl leads on International Trade for Scottish Development International (SDI) with a background in International economics and business for a range of private and public agencies. Currently delivering SDI International eCommerce programme -developing Scotland’s potential in selling globally via eCommerce.
