The Dundee Partnership is pleased to invite members of the business community to the Dundee Economic Summit, taking place on Wednesday, 18th June 2025, at the Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa.

This year, we are thrilled to welcome Martha Lane Fox as our keynote speaker. As a digital pioneer, entrepreneur, and advocate for innovation, Martha will share insights on AI, digital transformation, and the future of economic growth, setting the stage for an inspiring and forward-thinking discussion.

The summit will bring together an influential audience of business leaders, policymakers, and key stakeholders dedicated to driving economic growth and innovation across Dundee and the surrounding region.

With a focus on collaboration as a catalyst for sustainable economic development, discussions will explore key topics such as the revitalisation of Dundee’s city centre, the growth of entrepreneurial ventures, and strategies to attract new investments that boost productivity and create jobs.

We are also delighted to confirm Philip Bartlett of NatWest, who will deliver an economic update, and Andy MacIver of Message Matters, who will provide expert insights into the intersection of politics and business. Additionally, local voice Andrew Batchelor, founder of Dundee Culture, will offer a unique perspective on Dundee’s evolving identity and the role of community engagement in shaping the city’s future.

Interactive sessions will tackle pressing challenges, beginning with a dynamic panel discussion to spark conversation.

This year’s summit offers a unique opportunity for participants to engage in meaningful dialogue, gain actionable insights, and forge connections that will help shape Dundee’s future - working toward our shared vision of doubling the city centre population by 2050 and reimagining it as a vibrant hub of growth and opportunity.

Event Sponsors:
McLaughlin & Harvey
McLaughlin & Harvey is a privately owned construction and civil engineering business with over 170 years of experience. Founded in 1853 and now operating throughout the UK and Ireland, the business employs over 800 people and has office locations in Belfast, Glasgow, London, Birmingham and Bristol. With a focus on its three core values of collaboration, commitment and care, the business delivers construction, civil engineering and fit-out projects and provides facilities management services to public and private sectors in healthcare, education, defence, industrial, retail, sports venues, transport infrastructure, environmental, marine, commercial and leisure.

SSEN Transmission:
SSEN Transmission owns, operates and develops the high-voltage electricity transmission system in the north of Scotland – the pylons, overhead lines, subsea and underground cables and substations. We take that power from where it is generated, to the towns, cities and villages where it will be used. We are currently upgrading the transmission system in the north of Scotland through our ‘Pathway to 2030’ programme of investment. This is a mix of new onshore and subsea electricity transmission projects – and upgrades to existing network infrastructure – that will increase the amount of renewable electricity connected to the grid, especially in the form of offshore wind, which Scotland has the potential for in abundance.
