Join us for an informative and engaging afternoon delivered in partnership with HRFCA, exploring the Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) and how local businesses can actively support the Armed Forces community.

This event is for those looking to find out more about the ERS, but also businesses already signed up to the scheme who are looking to refresh their memory on what it includes or how they can apply for the next tier of the scheme.

The event will begin with an opening address and a keynote from Hayley Munro, Defence Relationship Manager, who will provide an overview of the Armed Forces Covenant and the Employer Recognition Scheme, outlining what participation means for employers and the benefits of getting involved.

Attendees will also hear first-hand insights from a service leaver on transitioning to civilian life, alongside contributions from guest speakers sharing their experiences and perspectives. The afternoon will conclude with a discussion on the value of supporting serving personnel, reservists, veterans and their families, before an opportunity to network over a finger buffet.

What is the Employer Recognition Scheme? 
The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) rewards and recognises UK employers for their support and commitment towards Defence. The Scheme encompasses Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards for employer organisations which pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to the Defence community, and align their values and activities with the Armed Forces Covenant.
