About the Business Rates Revaluation 2026: 
The Rateable Values of all non-domestic properties in Scotland are being reviewed by the Scottish Assessors due to the 2026 Revaluation, which comes into effect from 1 April 2026. The Rateable Value applied to a property is a reflection of the open market rental value of similar properties at tone date (1 April 2025).

Everyone with an interest (proprietor, tenant, occupier) in a non-domestic property in Scotland should receive a Valuation Notice which will confirm the Rateable Value of the property with effect from 1 April 2026. This RV will remain in place for the next 3 years unless any changes or alterations take place. Businesses are encouraged to review their property details, check their Valuation Notices and corresponding rates bills as Revaluation proposals must be lodged between 1 April 2026 – 31st July 2026.
