Goodbye Summer!

I have 2 boys and today was the last day of the summer holidays and they will be off to school tomorrow in Primary 4 and Primary 5. There was a lot to do,  especially since I had to make sure they have everything they need before they go off to school!  This summer has been brilliant as I’ve managed to visit the Isle of Islay, Colonsay and Jura. Scotland is truly an amazing place.

Back to work.

Since most EU regions were still on summer holidays, most of the day is spent preparing stock, import planning and market research on our 2nd generation of Egeetouch, an NFC-driven Smart Locks. It is  amazing how technology improves daily life. The new feature of Bluetooth is also provided as VICINITY TRACKING and alternative ACCESS choice to users with this product. Just send me an email if you want to know more about this product!

Concert time -The Song of Silk Road (Wan Tan Saprono)

After a busy day in the office, I attended the reception at Dundee City Chamber. Glad to have the opportunities to meet some old friends and Chinese Consul General, Pan Xinchun. “THE SONG OF THE SILK ROAD” was performed in the Caird Hall Dundee. This event has been brought to Dundee as a tribute from Chinese Consul General, Pan Xinchun who was made an Honorary Burgess of the city earlier this year. The concert brought in a near full house and the performance was truly world class.

Early Start

I start work at 6am today. It was an early start as a big part of my job is based around communication between a Technical Team in Asia and questions from customers in Europe. Due to the time difference, sometimes I need to work at odd hours to make sure customers get their answers first thing in the morning. Later I head out to the bank in town to pay some supplier bills.

Paperwork and planning

I spend the morning updating and filing paperwork, whilst the afternoon is spent planning next week.

Family Day

Saturday morning is kids time. I take them to the Library and spend some quality time with them in the park later on. In the late afternoon I love to sit in the kitchen and watch the birds in garden.

Fundraising For DCS –Summer BBQ Fundraising Event

I head to Monikie Country Park around 9 am and help set up the venue for the event. The event manages to engage more than 150 adults and children. Besides the BBQ there are games, sales of second hand goods, kids performing, dragon dancing and a raffle draw at the end. I’m glad to see more and more of the local community join us.
