Nationwide car and van rental operator Thrifty has expanded its presence within the East of Scotland with the acquisition of Unit 1 224 East Main Street, Broxburn on a new lease.

The new premises will service Thrifty’s expanding Edinburgh operation, particularly because of its close proximity to Thrifty’s Airport base.

Unit 1 224 East Main Street is a recently refurbished unit with a prominent frontage located approximately 10 miles west of Edinburgh’s city centre. It also offers excellent transport links via the M8 and M9, both located less than 4 miles east of the property.

Finlay Miller of Ryden, who acted on behalf of the landlord Rosemount Holdings in this transaction, explained: “The recent letting to Thrifty identifies the strength of the wider Edinburgh industrial market with the quality accommodation being actively pursued by unfulfilled enquiries. In this particular instance, the refurbishment work undertaken by our client paid dividends and ultimately secured a nationwide tenant.”
