A one day conference to highlight the incredible careers that exist within the Travel & Tourism industry and here on our doorstep in Angus is being held on Monday 23rd October at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel.
Organised by Developing the Young Workforce Dundee & Angus, in association with Visit Angus, sponsored by Business Angus and supported by Carnoustie Golf Hotel, the conference will let businesses and volunteer organisations showcase the industry, engage directly with local young people and promote any employment or volunteering opportunities they might have. As well as connect with other Angus tourist businesses and organisations. Visit Scotland and representatives from Angus Council will also be present on the day. We are seeking the support of local businesses / organisations for the event, to help illustrate the varied opportunities across Angus.
The event is aimed at senior secondary school pupils across Angus who are studying Travel & Tourism and will help them broaden their horizons and experience first-hand the potential careers open to them.
What would your input be?
We are looking for employees/volunteers from local businesses and organisation involved in the Travel & Tourism industry to engage in two ways:
- to be interviewed by small groups of students to provide information about their tourist business / organisation
- to take an information stand so that attendees can gain more information about your business / organisation
The time commitment would be one or more hours.
