There’s good news for Dundee’s bus passengers in 2018. The city’s main bus company, Xplore Dundee is announcing it is freezing multi-journey passes and reducing the price of its Daysaver tickets.

Not only that, but early in the New Year, the operator will unveil a new mobile app, allowing customers to get tickets straight to their phones and offering reduced prices for many products.

Managing Director Elsie Turbyne said: “I’m delighted that we’ll soon be able to offer mobile tickets to our customers. As well as being extremely convenient and easy to access, there will also be a discount for those buying and downloading their passes to their smartphones. “Travelling by public transport remains one of the most economical and environmentally friendly ways to get around. Paying by monthly direct debit entitles passengers to unlimited travel on all of our services for just £1.45 per day. “Dundee’s bus fares are among the lowest of any major Scottish city and we are the only city operator to offer child and young person fares all the way up to the age of 18.” Xplore Dundee’s fares review is due to take effect from Sunday 31stDecember.

More information about the operator’s mobile app and m-ticket prices will be available early in 2018. Full details of all ticket prices are available on the website xploredundee.com.
