Dundee Contemporary Arts are looking for a new Finance Manager & Company Secretary
Job Description
The Finance Manager & Company Secretary is a key member of DCA’s Senior Management Team with responsibility for the day to day accounting and financial management of DCA which is a registered charity and preparing and analysing information relating to financial planning. This is a part time position with 30 working hours a week in exchange for a £27,200 yearly salary.
Requirements
To work 30 hours per week - Monday – Friday between 9-5 Flexibility required to attend Board related evening meetings
Responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for budgeting; reporting on the financial performance to Executive Management team and the Board’s Finance, Audit & Risk Committee; preparing SORP accounts and arranging Audit; producing monthly management accounts; the preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensuring that all payments and invoices are processed accurately. Acting as Company Secretary to the Board, the post holder will ensure lawful governance of the organisation and provide comprehensive support and guidance to the board.
The Individual
CCAB qualified accountant Strong knowledge of SORP, charity law and VAT Knowledge of the responsibilities and duties of the Company Secretary role.
