Overgate, Dundee announces pop-up cinema for Valentine's Day

Overgate in Dundee has announced it will be hosting a pop-up cinema in the centre for Valentine’s Day.

Whether you’re single or coupled up, the centre is inviting customers to relax on giant bean bags and enjoy an all-time favourite rom-com whilst enjoying complimentary popcorn. The films were voted for by Overgate’s Facebook community via a poll with over 1,200 votes cast.

The screenings are:

12noon - Beauty and the Beast (U)

2.30pm - 10 Things I Hate About You (12)

5.30pm - Bridget Jones’s Diary (12A)

The boutique pop-up will run for one day only and admission is free. It will be located on level one within the centre.

There will be three screenings throughout the day with each being limited to 26 lucky people. Tickets must be booked in advanced for each screening and with demand expected to be high, the advice is to secure your place quick to avoid disappointment and before seats are showing… showing…gone!

Tickets must be booked in advanced for each screening via Eventbrite and presented on the day to gain entry to the cinema. Tickets can only be booked in pairs and are limited to two per person. To book tickets follow this link: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/valentines-pop-up-cinema-tickets-55764177155

Speaking about the initiative Malcolm Angus, Centre Manager, Overgate commented;

“The Overgate Valentine’s Day Pop-Up Cinema is sure to be a popular attraction. Our customers voted online for their favourite films and we are pleased to announce we will be showing the three most popular choices across the day. We look forward to welcoming everyone for a feel-good day of fun and entertainment.”
