Dundee people could have their say on new city council management rules for open spaces and cemeteries.
Changes to these regulations are being proposed, and if they are approved by the neighbourhood services committee, a statutory period of at least one month is required for consultation.
Councillor Kevin Cordell, committee convener, said: “The current management rules expire in May after ten years in use, and we have looked to provide updated rules which allow people to continue to enjoy our superb open spaces and to better understand their responsibilities.
“We want people to share space for different uses and for everyone to enjoy these areas safely.
“There are changes to the management rules at cemeteries, which will continue efforts to maintain these as tranquil places for reflection.
“We are also putting forward proposals for the way that tributes and memorabilia are displayed at the baby memorial gardens at Pitkerro Grove and Birkhill.
“This is an extremely sensitive subject, and I know that the views of families are being carefully considered as we look to put environmental improvements into place at Birkhill.
“I would hope that any families with any concerns would get in touch to discuss these directly with us.”
The committee meets on Monday February 18.
