Art gallery and museum has winning season following refurbishment.

Since re-opening in February 2010, The McManus has seen the awards and nominations come flooding in. Starting with the 'Wave 102 Pride of Dundee - Tourist Attraction of the Year 2010' award in April, this was followed by Dundee Civic Trust naming the building 'Dundee's Finest' at an award ceremony in September.

In November, The McManus scooped more honours: the Saltire Society presented it with a Commendation in the Conservation Category of their Award for Civil Engineering, it received a 'Special Mention' for the Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland award, the McManus' architects Page \ Park won the Glasgow Institute of Architects' Award for Best Conservation Project and at the Dundee Institute of Architects' ceremony in The Invercarse The McManus scooped four awards, including the Supreme Award.

Depute Convenor for Leisure & Communities, Councillor Alan Ross commented, "This truly is a fantastic achievement for the team which has brought McManus to life at the heart of the City, and clearly is enjoying acclaim from peers and architects, as well as the public who continue to come in great numbers."
