The Scottish Qualifications Authority is putting together a focus group on workplace-relevant skills in schools.

The most recent Council meeting of Scottish Chambers of Commerce included discussion on the skills that schools teach their pupils that make them ready for the workplace, and how schools and school pupils engage with employers.

The Scottish Qualifications Authority are looking at this issue. They are planning to run a focus group to explore the issue of 'core skills' in Curriculum for Excellence.

Any employers interested in taking part in the focus group should contact Alan Mitchell at alanmitchell@dundeeandanguschamber.co.uk.
