For the first time in almost eight years, a report on women-owned businesses in Scotland has been published and will be presented at the first ever Women's Employment Summit on 12th September.

Results of the survey which was live for 10 days and garnered 131 responses from women entrepreneurs from all age ranges and all parts of Scotland, are consistent with Women's Enterprise Scotland's belief that if given the right support, women-owned businesses could help grow the Scottish economy.

The most promising statistic to emerge is that 87% of women-owned businesses plan to grow over the next two years with more than one in four aiming to grow rapidly.

With the right support, the economic impact from women entrepreneurs could be huge and greatly increase the amount WOBs contribute to the Scottish economy
