Trade, cultural and education opportunities discussed.A trade delegation from the cities of Zadar and Sibenik in Croatia visited Dundee and Angus recently to discuss trade, cultural and education links.

At briefings with Dundee City Council, Angus Council, the University of Abertay Dundee and local businesses, Drazen Grgurovic, the Deputy Mayor of the City of Zadar, highlighted the potential investment, tourism and trade opportunities that will emerge when Croatia becomes the 28th member of the European Union in 2013. EU membership will, amongst other things, allow Croatia to access new funding, which will support the development of key sectors of the economy and allow the country to better utilise its highly skilled and educated workforce.
