Factory Skatepark Wins National Social Enterprise Award

Recognition for efforts to improve local community's facilities. The Factory Skatepark in Balunie Drive has won the 2012 Social Enterprise of the Year award. The skatepark has been running for 14 years and employs 16 people, as well as offering 20 training opportunities each year.

Derek Marshall, chief executive, said: 'To be recognised for the work done at the Factory Skatepark is overwhelming and being part of such a strong community project is something I am extremely proud of.'
