Kirsty Thomson, from Along Came Kirsty, played a key role in securing a Big Lottery Funding grant for Scottish charity PAMIS. The grant worth £377,827 will be used to fund much needed services and support. Kirsty, who classes herself as a Social Entreprenuer, spent six months working with the charity on the grant application.

Since starting her business last year, Kirsty has worked with a number of charities providing them with a range of approaches to promote the business side of their work such as writing fundraising strategies and applications for funding, carrying out evaluations, marketing the charity and organising creative fundraising events. Kirsty says 'There is a demand from smaller charities for this input as they do not have the capacity to carry out many of these time consuming tasks and unfortunately without some of this vital work, charities risk loss of funding to both their core and project work'.
