Proceeds from ball to go to the Stroke Association.

balhousie-007-logoGuests attending the Balhousie Care Group charity ball this on Friday 15th March will be shaken not stirred as this year's event pays tribute to 50 years of James Bond.

The glamorous evening, to be held at Fingask Castle in Rait, Perthshire, also marks the launch of Balhousie Care group's new partnership with the Stroke Association, with all proceeds from the ball and other fundraising being donated to the charity.

Balhousie Care Group's previous partnership with the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) generated donations totalling around £200,000 over the past two years.

Around 250 guests are expected to attend the black-tie ball, which will get underway with a 007-themed champagne reception at 6.45pm.

A raffle and auction will further boost the coffers of the Stroke Association, which supports stroke survivors to help them make the best possible recovery and campaigns for better stroke prevention and care, as well as funding research.

Tony Banks, chairman and founder of Balhousie Care Group, said the Stroke Association had obvious links with his company, which cares for up to 1,100 people in 27 homes.

'This year's charity ball marks the launch of what is sure to be a long and successful relationship with the Stroke Association,' he said. 'Our work caring for older people and those with additional support needs means we understand only too well the challenges that can face people who have had strokes.

'The charity's aim to support people and enable them to live as meaningful a life as possible is very closely aligned to our own and we can see many benefits to working closely with the Stroke Association and raising money to fund research into strokes and encouraging prevention and cures.

'I'm sure everyone who is attending the ball will have another fantastic night while raising a lot of money
