Bumper first year for social enterprise cafe.

Doreen Walkinshaw of charity Enable Scotland was recognised at this year's Women Ahead Awards for her role in setting up Arbroath project Darlings Coffee Shop.

The scheme helps young people with a disability to improve their employment prospects and offers a base for training and support. Doreen said the rise in demand for locally sourced produce is oen of the reasons for the shop's success. She said 'I am extremely proud to have won this award which I see as recognition of the efforts of the many people who make Darlings Coffee Shop the success it is.'
