Miller Hendry Associate named in top 1% of students.

Caroline Fraser - Miller HendryA Dundee lawyer and graduate of the University of Dundee has proven herself to be top of the class when it comes to estate planning. Caroline Fraser, an Associate with Miller Hendry solicitors and estate agents in Dundee, has been named the 'Trust and Executry Accounting Student of the Year' after attaining the highest score in her 2012 exam paper for the STEP Diploma.

STEP, or the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, is the leading worldwide professional body for practitioners in the fields of trusts, estates and related issues.

Members help families plan their long term financial future, facilitating good stewardship and financial planning across future generations. The STEP Diploma is an internationally recognised qualification in private client law and practice.

Caroline, who lives in Broughty Ferry, will attend an awards ceremony in London later this year to collect her award. She said:

'I am absolutely delighted to have received this award. Estate planning generally is a complex area of the law and I have always found it to be an interesting subject. It looks like my commitment and hard work has paid off and it is a real honour to be recognised as STEP's Trust and Executry Accounting Student of the Year.'

Commenting on her recent success, Ernie Boath, head of the Private Client department at Miller Hendry said:

'I am truly delighted for Caroline. It's a significant professional achievement to obtain the STEP Diploma. To also be recognised as Student of the Year is simply tremendous. Over 2000 UK students are studying for STEP Diplomas, and over 4000 worldwide, to be named in the top 1% is truly remarkable. We are very proud of her, very proud indeed.'
