Latest figures show good news for city's students.

The Government has published figures showing that graduate employment in Dundee is rising, with more opportunities being  created by investment projects such as the £45 million waterfront.

In 2012, graduates made up 34% of Dundee's workforce, a significant increase over previous years since the recession began in 2008.

DACC Chief Executive Sandra Burke said 'We live in a fast-changing knowledge economy where education is key to both employment and prosperity. It's this knowledge economy that ius driving economic growth, enhancing social mobility and enabling Dundee and Scotland to compete globally. Although the trend across Scotland is upwards over the last 10 years, I feel sure the city is punching above its weight because of improving business confidence and increasing numbers of highly qualified individuals working in our businesses, in further and higher education and research institutions.'
