FIRMS IN Dundee are being to encouraged to get their latest application to the Strategic Framework Business Fund in by the end of the week to make sure they receive the January top-up payment.

The additional payments are available to businesses with premises in the hospitality, non-essential retail, close contact service and leisure sectors and could range from £6,000 to £25,000.

Mark Flynn convener of Dundee City Council’s city development committee said: “There is no separate application process for top-up payments but businesses eligible for the Strategic Framework Business Fund should have their applications in by Friday February 5 to benefit.
“While the Strategic Framework Business Fund will be open for new applications until the end of March, any that are received after this Friday will only be eligible for the standard four weekly payment.”

More than £31 million has been awarded by Dundee City Council to around 3000 Dundee businesses since the Coronavirus outbreak began.
Cllr Flynn added: “We know that the grants have been a lifeline to many businesses and have helped mitigate the impact of the virus on the local economy and we appreciate that this continues to be a difficult time.

“But our priority continues to be supporting businesses through the current restrictions by effectively and efficiently administering the grant aid that is available.”
